High Rise Wide Flare Jean

Dark wash, high rise, and cut wide from the knee down in the way that only ever looks right when the denim has some weight to it. This one does — 12.5 ounces, with just enough spandex worked in that it gives where you need it and springs back instead of bagging out by noon. The waistband is finished raw, a deliberate quarter inch of unhemmed edge that keeps the whole thing from reading as too polished.
This is the jean that wants a boot underneath it, heel or not, and something cropped up top so the rise gets to do its job. Dark denim is the forgiving one: it takes a black tee at midnight and a soft cream sweater at breakfast without changing its mind about who you are.
