Bamboo handle, sisal bristles, no plastic anywhere in it. Sisal is the fiber of the agave plant, stiff enough to take on a scorched pan and stubborn enough to last, and when the brush is finally finished both the handle and the bristles go into the compost rather than the landfill.

The curved handle keeps your knuckles out of the water. Store it bristle side down so the bamboo dries between rounds, and keep a second one in the bathroom for scouring.
