Two sizes, roughly 2 by 4 in and 3 by 3 in, in whatever prints and quiet neutrals the scrap pile offered that week — no two alike, none of them exactly to scale. Imperfectly perfect, as the maker puts it, and she is right.

Tuck one into a pillowcase, a glove box, a dresser drawer, a suitcase, the bottom of a handbag. Dryer safe. When the scent starts to fade, squeeze the sachet between your palms to wake the buds back up.
