Amethyst & Lavender Bath Bomb

Purple on purple: tumbled amethyst and organic lavender buds pressed into a dye-free bomb that smells the way a linen closet ought to. The lavender essential oil does most of the persuading; the amethyst simply sits in the water being ancient. Nothing here is trying to be clever. It is a bath, at the end of a day, and it is enough.

Best used somewhere near nine o'clock, with the overhead light off and one lamp on. Save the amethyst — it belongs on a nightstand, next to the book you keep meaning to finish.
