For the Air Goddess — a kimono that wandered out of a fairytale: climbing roses, ballet slippers, and a family of rabbits keeping watch.
Born from a love of romance and whimsy, The Daydreamer print began with an 1880s hand-coloured etching called The Bower of Roses: a woman drifted into sleep as roses climb and spill overhead, an open book of poetry resting beside her. Ribbons flutter from a pair of delicate ballet slippers, a family of rabbits from an antique lithograph watches over her slumber, and the trim is edged with painted roses circa 1800.
Rendered in lush chartreuse and deep teal with bright pink roses scattered like dreams, the Matinée duster is mid-length magic — over a slip dress at dusk, over a swimsuit at the pool, over jeans absolutely anywhere.
