For the Air Goddess — the one who dreams the thing first and then goes and makes it.

Several Van Goghs, gathered into one print. The roses come from Roses, 1890, painted during his time at the asylum at Saint-Paul-de-Mausole, when a man with very little left still found flowers worth recording. The eye is lifted from Self Portrait with a Straw Hat, 1887. And lettered into the open book on the table is the line the whole piece is named for: I dream my painting and I paint my dream.

Open front, opera sleeves, wide enough to gesture in. Wear it over a plain black column so the print does the talking, or over a white shirt and jeans so it looks like an accident of taste rather than a decision.
