Large Soapstone Whiskey Cubes, Set of 2

Soapstone, cut into two-inch squares, chilled in the freezer and dropped into the glass. It will not scratch the crystal and it will not lend the whiskey a mineral edge the way a lesser stone does. What it does is keep a good pour cold from the first sip to the last one without watering it down along the way.

Freeze them ahead. Two to a glass. A small storage bag comes with them, so they live in the freezer door rather than loose among the peas.
