Handcrafted Upcycled Amber Glass Vase

For the Earth Goddess — the one who believes a thing deserves a second life, and a better one.

This began as a bottle. It was collected in Badr City, outside Cairo, washed, scored with heat and cut clean across, then ground down by hand until the rim went smooth enough to run a thumb along, and finally decorated and sandblasted into a frosted band. Amber glass, the color of strong tea held up against a window. It works as a jug and it works as a vase, which is to say it works as whatever you decide to put in it.

Three stems of eucalyptus and nothing else. Water and lemon in the middle of a summer table. Or empty on a shelf where the afternoon light comes in, which is honestly where most of them end up. It arrives boxed, so the gift decision makes itself.
