Love Language Printed Long Duster Bamboo Kimono Robe

The artwork was hand-drawn in Pennsylvania in 1854, originally painted as a backdrop for a perfume and botanical extract display, which explains the flowers: joyful, crowded, entirely unbothered by restraint. Reworked here with a heart-in-hand — the old symbol for kindness and charity — and two lines set in period fonts: Love is the only gold, and Love one another.

A long duster, falling well past the hip, in bamboo viscose that moves the way silk wants to and washes the way cotton does. Over a slip dress for evening, over jeans and a tank for absolutely everything else. It is the piece that makes the rest of the outfit look deliberate.
