For the Air Goddess — the garden's own messenger, wings out.
Dragonflies arrive when something is about to change — that's the folklore, and frankly their track record is excellent. This small, bright one holds perfectly still: seven inches of hand-painted recycled steel, chiseled from a flattened oil drum by Haitian artisans in the craft Georges Liautaud invented in the late 1950s, all mallet and chisel and patience. Handmade, so dimensions and finish vary slightly; her wing pattern belongs to her alone.
Tuck her by a window, among the plants, or on the porch post where the light moves — a small, constant reminder to stay light and keep transforming. One in the shop.
