For the Fire Goddess — the cat who stayed at the festival after everyone else went home.

Seventeen and a half inches of pure flower-child attitude: a cat wearing blooms the way Stevie wore shawls, cut by hand from a recycled steel oil drum in Haiti. The artisans of Le Primitif work in the lineage Georges Liautaud began in the late 1950s — chalk the design on flattened steel, then mallet and chisel until the cat walks free. The largest of our metal menagerie, and she knows it. Handmade, so dimensions and finish vary slightly; there is exactly one of her anywhere.

Give her a wall with an audience — entryway, studio, above the turntable — and let her radiate that unbothered, groovy confidence you were planning to manifest anyway. One in the shop.

Approx. 13" x 17.5" x 1" · Hand-chiseled, hand-painted recycled steel · Made in Haiti · Wipe with a dry cloth; shelter from harsh weather to keep the paint bright
