Every witchy heart needs a moon to answer to, and this one comes dressed in hand-painted flowers — fourteen inches of crescent cut from a recycled steel oil drum in Haiti. The artisans of Le Primitif still work the way Georges Liautaud taught in the late 1950s: chalk the design on flattened steel, then free it by hand with mallet and chisel. What once held oil now holds moonlight, which is the kind of transformation the moon herself would approve of. Handmade, so dimensions and finish vary slightly.

Hang her over the altar, the bed, or the garden gate — set your intentions on the new moon, release them on the full, and let her keep the schedule. One in the shop.
